‘5,209 lifers don’t know about tenure of suffering in jails’

Eminent criminal law expert Khandker Mahbub Hossain tells the Supreme Court that a total of 5,209 prisoners, who have been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment, do not know how long they will have to suffer in jails though life sentence refers to 30 years' prison term as per law.
